Advanced Open Water Diver
|Advanced Open Water Diver is made up of 5 scuba dives over 2 days - 2 compulsory dives (deep and navigation), plus 3 further dives of your choice.|
Deep Dive broadens your experience of scuba diving, and will equip you with the knowledge to dive deeper both safely and enjoyably.
Navigation Dive will introduce you to natural navigation, allowing you to calculate distances and boat location, as well as covering further use of a compass to ensure you are always aware of your positioning under the water.
The options for the three further dives include Peak Performance Buoyancy, Multilevel, Surface Marker Buoy Usage and Wreck.
*What do I need?*
If you are 15 or older, and a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent, then you are ready for the Advanced Open Water certification. Or, if you are a PADI Junior Open Water diver or equivalent and between the ages of 12-14, there is the PADI Junior Advanced Open Water certification which allows you to dive to a depth of 21 meters/70 feet with a certified adult.
After successfully completing the course, you will receive the PADI Advanced Open Water certification. This allows you to participate in more advanced diving activities with a maximum recommended depth limit of 30 meters/100 feet, in addition to the qualifications listed for PADI Open Water Divers.
